Position Summary: 

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the physical integrity of the property, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for residents and staff. This role includes day-to-day maintenance operations, service request resolution, and make-ready work, with weekend and on-call responsibilities on a rotating schedule. 

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Perform timely completion of work orders, service requests, and unit turns

  • Execute apartment make-ready processes including painting, repairs, and appliance installation

  • Conduct maintenance and repair duties including:

    • Plumbing, electrical, basic HVAC, carpentry, locks, appliances, and drywall repair

  • Complete routine property and vacant unit inspections

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks as scheduled

  • Use and maintain power tools and hand tools in a safe and efficient manner

  • Help maintain an organized and secured maintenance shop and inventory

  • Ensure all work is completed in a professional and resident-focused manner

  • Adhere to all safety and OSHA guidelines

  • Additional duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Property Manager

  
Qualifications: 

  • Minimum 2 years of general maintenance experience

  • At least 1 year of apartment or multi-family property maintenance experience preferred

  • Familiarity with HVAC systems and willingness to obtain certification if not already held

  • Customer-service oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently

  • Must be available for rotating on-call responsibilities, including weekends

  • Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance required

  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
